Donation NeedsWhat Healing Hearts With Horses Needs…
As a non-profit organization, we need donations in order to keep the programs running.
Our 501 (C) status has been approved, so this makes all donations tax deductible. Until we receive grants, we rely soley on personal donations. We do not charge group homes, foster, adoptive or at risk children for our services. The clientele we focus on the most are the ones least likely to be able to pay.
Expenses average $30,000 year to run all 3 programs (and that is pinching pennies). The average cost of one horse is estimated to be $3000 per year, and we usually have 25-30!
Monetary donations are needed for:
- Needs-based tuition assistance
- Parents/guardians have limited financial resources
- Donations are used for foster/adoptive children
- We never turn a child in need away, even if they can’t pay
- For group homes, we ask for donations
- Many similar programs charge $125 for a 90 minute session
- Care of horses and facility
- Hay and grain for the horses

- Veterinary care, chiropractic care, medications , and supplements
- farrier care
- Horse tack and grooming supplies
- Office supplies and teaching aids
- Insurance
