Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

An Emerging Field of Therapy Utilizing Horses
A collaborative effort between a horse professional and a licensed therapist to help “reach” troubled children. Ideal for group homes, residential treatment centers, families, and individuals.

  • This form of psychotherapy is intense and very effective
  • Similar to “ropes courses” used by other therapists and treatment centers
  • Proven to reduce crime and help with addictions
  • Children learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with horses
  • Processing (or discussing) their feelings and behaviors

Note: This is a team building program designed specifically for group homes and residential treatment centers. Ninety percent of the sessions are performed on the ground, not on the horse.
