Chapter 1: The story of Lucy

“LUCY” I cried. I was chasing after her lead rope!Lucy is a beautiful chestnut horse she is a mare with a blaze face and a one stocking on her foot. But a fast runner! I was simply holding on to her lead rope and taking her into her stall but something must have scared her? But what was it? It wasn’t my dog Butch. And it wasn’t Silky my cat or Tulip. What was it! Could it have been one of my horses? No it couldn’t have been Lucy was the only horse out there! Only HORSE! There could have been something else out there! I went and looked in the pasture very slowly. I turned around and I saw a RACOON! And I said “That’s what it was!” I turned around and I saw LUCY! She was in a trot. Calming down. I gentle put the halter on her. As well as the saddle and I put my helmet on.

Chapter: 2 THE story of Jane

“Mom” I want that one. You’re going to have to take care of it. We already own a horse farm. O.K. you can take care of it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll name it Jane. My mom drove home in the car and I rode the horse. I put the bit and the bridle on. And I rode off. And when I got home I lounged with my horse. To get used to my home. I let her gallop around the pasture. Did I mention Jane is a bay horse? I was measuring in hands how tall I started at the hove and ended at the withers. I started cleaning the cantle and working my way up. “Mom I’m going on a ride!” As I rode off into the sunrise I felt a canter as I rode off into the road.

Chapter: 3 THE STORY OF BOB!

One day there was a young foal named Bob. Bob is a palomino. He is the sweetest horse anyone could meet. I’m making his pommel shine. And now I’m finished with that I’m doing the same to his hock. Bob is all grown up now so he is a stallion. I finally I put his saddle on and strapped the girth to his belly. I got on him. He went into a jog.

Gabrielle has started Learning Lessons. Her stories were a project to learn some new horse words. She is having so much fun here:-)
